Welcome to Acorns!

At St Mary’s, we believe that the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) is essential to developing the firm foundations children build upon throughout their journey at our school and beyond. We introduce our children to the school motto, “Learning to Love – Loving to Learn,” embedding this in all aspects of school life within an accepting, supportive, and faith-celebrating environment.

We aim for our children feel valued as individuals. We are passionate about supporting all pupils to achieve their full, unique potential, building a lifelong love of learning, and experiencing joy and fun through meaningful experiences. We instill hope, encourage children to believe in themselves, and teach them to respect their environment, one another, and the wider school community.

In Acorns, every day is an adventure, whether indoors or out in the fresh air. The classroom is a fantastic space filled with resources that spark curiosity, while our outdoor area encourages our children to experiment, discover and connect with nature.
