The language taught at St. Mary's is Spanish
The school has adopted a revised Programme of Study to meet the requirements of the new National Curriculum.
In Key Stage 1 the children are taught through speaking and listening, learning the Spanish vocabulary for everyday objects and names such as familiar objects, foods and colours.
In Key Stage 2 there is an increasing focus on speaking accurately in a range of contexts. The curriculum also includes reading and writing in Spanish, together with aspects of grammar.
